The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team faced a setback against Concordia University-Moorhead on Friday night, as the Cobbers claimed a 3-1 victory.
Concordia took an early lead in the first period. Trenten Heyde from Atlanta scored for the Blugolds on a power play in the third period, assisted by Leo Bacallao and Max Ruoho, both from Madison. However, Concordia responded with a game-winning goal shortly after and secured their win with an additional goal late in the period.
Max Gutjahr was active in goal for Wisconsin-Eau Claire, making 22 saves during the match. Freshman Danny Reis led the offensive charge with five shots.
