Alli Schoenrock, a senior from Blaine, Minnesota, has been named the UW-Eau Claire Athletics' Blugold of the Week, an honor sponsored by BSN Sports/Nike. Schoenrock is majoring in Operations and Supply Chain Management. She first chose UW-Eau Claire for its scenic campus and the quality education she expected to receive there. "The big deciding factor though was the quality of education I knew I'd get here, and I always found myself comparing other schools to UWEC," she shared.

Apart from her athletic commitments, Schoenrock is involved with TRIO Student Support Services as a Learning Community Leader and serves as the Treasurer for the SSS Advisory Board. Balancing her academic and athletic responsibilities is a challenge she manages with the help of her 168 plan introduced by her coach. This plan accounts for all the hours in a week, eliminating decision fatigue. "There's a huge learning curve when it comes to being a student-athlete and being able to balance multiple responsibilities," she explained.

Reflecting on her athletic career, Schoenrock is proud of her resilience after recovering from a severe leg injury to return to her sport. "I couldn't have done it without the support of the team!" she stated. As for her diet, she favors Chomps beef sticks pre-game and enjoys team meals post-competition.

Outside of her sport, Schoenrock has played the piano for 15 years and aspires to work for her father's electrical company. Her dream travel destination is Greece following stories from teammates who visited. Additionally, she would enjoy a day with Chris Evans whom she describes as a fun person to spend time with.

When advising other athletes, she emphasizes positivity, coachability, and self-care. "Keep a positive attitude, be coachable, and give 100% of what you have because it is and always will be enough!" she advised.
