UW-Stout honors exceptional students at annual Leadership Awards ceremony
On May 1, UW-Stout held its annual Leadership Awards ceremony, recognizing more than 100 students for their exceptional contributions to the university. Thirteen seniors were honored with the Samuel E. Wood Medallion, the highest nonacademic award for students at UW-Stout, given to less than 1% of full-time students.
A Dedicated Student's Journey to Grad School in Speech-Language Pathology at UW-Eau Claire
"The clinic has a child care center and I volunteered with the youngest kids," she says. "Twice a week I worked one-on-one with a child on basic language development, exposing them to more skills through fun activities. I was very fortunate to get three years of volunteering there, work that has really steered my career goals."
Milwaukee Tool to Host UW-Stout’s Third Annual Design Wisconsin Event
UW-Stout, the Industrial Designers Society of America-Milwaukee chapter, and Milwaukee Tool will host the third annual Design Wisconsin event on May 18. The event will take place at Milwaukee Tool headquarters, located at 551 N. 5th St. in Milwaukee, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to register in advance.

The average coaching salary at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the only institution paying coaches during 2022 in Eau Claire County, was $34,471, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
