Four alumni and friends of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are set to receive Alumni Association awards on Friday, May 17, as reported on May 2, 2024.
John Rosenow, a Buffalo County dairy farmer, has been selected for the Honorary Alumnus Award. Rosenow, described as a "visionary leader" by Dr. Kranti Dugar, has been instrumental in projects bridging Wisconsin farmers and Mexican workers. Rosenow's commitment to advocating for those without a voice and promoting cultural understanding has left a lasting impact on rural Wisconsin.
Nancy Langer, CEO of Transact Campus, is the recipient of the President's Award for her outstanding professional achievements and leadership in financial technology. Langer's dedication to creating excellent work environments and her emphasis on integrity and accountability have earned her this prestigious recognition.
Gary Jacobus, president of business development for the Americas for ASM Global, is being honored with the Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award. Jacobus' willingness to guide and support current students in the College of Business reflects his commitment to giving back to UW-Eau Claire.
Jerry M. Bauer, president and CEO of Bauer Built Inc., is receiving the Lifetime Excellence Award for his nearly 58 years of dedication to the family-owned business. Bauer's focus on continuous improvement and his emphasis on hard work and decisiveness have set him apart in his industry.
These individuals have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their careers, communities, and the university, embodying the spirit of excellence that UW-Eau Claire strives to instill in its alumni.
Additionally, Dr. Richard Helmers and Dr. Tim Nelson will be honored with honorary doctorates for their contributions to the field of science. Helmers, the regional vice president for Mayo Clinic Health System Northwest Wisconsin, and Nelson, director of innovation for Mayo Clinic Health System Northwest Wisconsin, will join the ranks of esteemed individuals recognized by the university for their achievements.
