The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team competed at the D3 Classic in Hastings, Minnesota, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College at Emerald Greens Golf Course. The Blugolds placed sixth out of 18 teams with a total score of +51 over par.
Lily Kaminski led the team, achieving career lows on both days. She finished third overall among 97 competitors, recording a two-round total of +3 over par. Kaminski shot a personal best 74 in the first round and then improved to a 73 in the second round. Over the weekend, she made seven birdies and one eagle.
Tally Schlindwein contributed with scores of 76 on both days, finishing +8 over par and securing sixth place individually. Elizabeth Hermann and Gilian Johnson finished 32nd and 48th respectively, supporting the team's top-six finish.
A second UW-Eau Claire team finished 15th overall. Emily Utter and Bailey Eddicus tied with Johnson for 48th place.
The Blugolds are scheduled to compete next at the Midwest Region Classic in Kansasville, Wisconsin, starting Friday, September 19 at Brighton Dale Links. Opening round tee times are set for 8:30 a.m.
