The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has recognized the outstanding performance of Carson Kowalski from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire by naming him the men's soccer player of the week. This accolade was determined through an anonymous vote by WIAC head coaches for the period spanning October 28 to November 3.
Kowalski played a pivotal role in securing UW-Eau Claire's first-ever conference championship in men's soccer. During a match against UW-River Falls on November 2, he scored a decisive goal with a direct free kick that found its way into the top right corner, giving his team a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute. His efforts contributed to a 2-0 victory and marked their eighth shutout of the season.
Earlier in the week, Kowalski also made significant contributions during a match against UW-Whitewater on October 30, where he played for the entire duration in what ended as a 2-2 draw.
