The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the period of October 21 to October 27. Elaine Proefrock from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has been recognized as the women's swimming athlete of the week. This decision was made by an anonymous vote among WIAC head coaches.
Proefrock, hailing from Grafton, Wisconsin, achieved notable success in a meet against UW-Stevens Point on October 25. She secured first-place finishes in both the 500-yard freestyle and 1,000-yard freestyle events. Her winning times were recorded at 5:27.11 and 11:08.06 respectively, contributing significantly to her team's overall victory with a score of 207-92.
