The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team secured a decisive 5-0 victory against St. Norbert College at Schneider Stadium on Sunday. This win marks the Blugolds' final non-conference game of the regular season, equaling their highest goal tally for the season.
UW-Eau Claire (7-7-4) took control early, scoring three goals in the first half and adding two more in the second half. The team's scoring was spread across five players. Sabrina Pickart initiated the scoring in the 12th minute with an assist from Grace Prairie. Molly Henderson increased the lead with a goal in the 26th minute, assisted by Johanna Thompson. Josie Ellingson added to the scoreline just before halftime, making it 3-0.
In the second half, Thompson scored again in the 58th minute with an assist from Sophie Hubbard, and Taylor Czarapata completed the scoring in the 76th minute.
Three goalkeepers contributed to maintaining a clean sheet: Kennedy Boll, Bella Jones, and Ella Swanson. Jones made three saves while Boll added one.
Looking ahead, UW-Eau Claire will conclude their regular season with a road game against UW-Stout on Saturday, November 2nd at 2 p.m.
