The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletics has launched its annual Blugold Athletics Week of Giving, seeking support for the fourth consecutive year. This event aligns with NCAA Division III Week, offering an opportunity for donors to contribute to a range of needs, including new uniforms, equipment, and out-of-state competition travel for student-athletes.

Athletics Director Jason Verdugo is encouraging each team to surpass previous fundraising achievements. Verdugo stated, "beat their best," challenging teams to exceed their initial goals to earn bonus funds. Specifically, teams reaching their initial fundraising target receive an additional $500, while surpassing stretch goals results in another $500.

Notably, the men's and women's teams showing the largest fundraising improvements will be awarded $3,000 each. Those with the most contributions from athletics alumni will receive $1,500 each. Market & Johnson is sponsoring the Beat Your Best Challenge, while McDonough Manufacturing supports the alumni challenge, providing substantial backing for the event.

Judy Kruckman has introduced a challenge to increase support for women's teams. With 250 gifts, Kruckman will donate $1,500 to the Women's Opportunity Fund. This contribution will increase by $1,500 with 500 gifts and by $2,000 upon reaching 1,000 gifts, totaling $5,000 for women's teams through the Judith Kruckman Women's Opportunity Fund.

The week-long initiative, running from April 7 to 13, counts donations as one per household per team, with provisions for joint gifts from households. Contributors are invited to support the Blugold student-athletes during this period.
