The UW-Eau Claire men’s club volleyball team clinched the national title, triumphing over their long-standing rivals, UW-La Crosse, at the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division II National Championships in Kansas City, Missouri. The victory marked the Blugolds' second consecutive national title win, with the team prevailing 2-1 against the defending champions in a thrilling match at the T-Mobile Center.
The outstanding performance of all seven Blugold starters did not go unnoticed, as they were acknowledged for their exceptional display throughout the tournament. Notably, Nick Feine stood out and was rightfully bestowed with the tournament MVP title. Additionally, Jackson Peterson, Trey Myers, Carson Bakkala, Charlie Fenton, Mason Mortimer, and Samuel Vondenlich were honored as All-Americans alongside Feine for their remarkable contributions to the team's success.
With a remarkable season record of 31-4, the UW-Eau Claire men's club volleyball team demonstrated their prowess and determination on the court, culminating in a well-deserved national title victory.
In other news, UW-Eau Claire accounting students are gearing up to offer free income tax return preparation services to eligible taxpayers through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program starting March 8.
