Professor Lynne Willett from the operations and management department presented at the 45th Annual International Conference on Critical Thinking, which was hosted by the University of Louisville. Her session, titled "Embodying Critical Thinking in Leadership Practice," included a personal example from her industry experience. Willett discussed how she applied critical thinking theory and concepts to advance her leadership skills, moving away from traditional labor-management techniques in organized labor environments. She described transitioning from an adversarial method of problem-solving to a collaborative approach with union leaders and management for the overall benefit of the organization.

Willett is among four individuals nationwide who have earned a Level One certification from the Foundation of Critical Thinking. She is currently working to become the first person to achieve a Level Two certification.
