White students were the most represented ethnic group within Chippewa County schools in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of the 8,298 students attending Chippewa County schools, 91.3% were white. Ethnicities <5% students were the second largest ethnicity, making up 8.7% of Chippewa County students.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Chippewa County, representing 91.7% of the student body.

Countywide, Bloomer Elementary School had the most even distribution of races, which included 95.6% white students, 2.1% Hispanic students, 1.9% multiracial students, 0.2% Black students, and 0.2% Pacific Islander students.

In the 2024-25 school year, the total number of students enrolled in public schools in the county decreased slightly compared to the previous year.
