Anne McCoy has joined the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as chief of staff. McCoy brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience from corporations in the U.S. and Canada. Most recently, she was chief of staff to the senior vice president of operations at Canadian Tire in Toronto. Before that, she held various leadership roles with Target Corp. and Target Canada.
“I grew up in the Coulee Region of Wisconsin and have long wanted to return to the area. The opportunity to join such a prestigious university in this capacity exceeded my expectations,” McCoy stated.
McCoy is a Wisconsin native who earned her bachelor's degree in journalism and an MBA in entrepreneurship and marketing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Chancellor Schmidt expressed confidence in McCoy's ability to make an immediate impact due to her leadership experience and educational background, supported by UW-Eau Claire's team.
“I’m looking forward to meeting and working with the university community and exploring the Eau Claire region,” said McCoy.
In addition to her role as chief of staff, McCoy will serve as executive director of planning. She will directly support the chancellor and act as a primary liaison on strategic and operational matters within the university community.
