University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire basketball player Andre Renta has been recognized by D3hoops.com for his outstanding performance during the week of January 20-26.
Renta, hailing from Hudson, Wisconsin, was named to the Team of the Week after averaging 22 points and seven assists per game. His efforts contributed significantly to UW-Eau Claire's victories in two WIAC contests, including a notable win that led to UW-Stevens Point dropping out of the Top 25 poll.
In the match against UW-Stout, Renta scored 23 points, provided eight assists, and achieved three steals within just 29 minutes on the court. He maintained a commendable assist-to-turnover ratio of 4.0 in this game. Following this performance, he recorded 20 points, six assists, and three rebounds in an upset victory over the Pointers.
