The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team faced Hamline University in a nonconference match at the TRIA Rink in St. Paul, Minnesota. Despite taking an early lead with a goal in the second period, the Blugolds were unable to maintain their advantage and ultimately lost to the Pipers.

Eli Reimer scored for UW-Eau Claire on a power play early in the second period, continuing his strong performance over the weekend with four goals. Carter Bradley and Colin Stein assisted on this lone goal for the Blugolds. Both players have managed to score at least one point each in their last three games.

Throughout the game, UW-Eau Claire outshot Hamline 27-20 but could not capitalize further. The match saw six penalties overall, with UW-Eau Claire converting one of their four power play opportunities into a goal. Hamline failed to score on either of their two power plays.

Looking ahead, UW-Eau Claire will return to conference play against Northland College next weekend. The games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Bay Area Civic Center.
