Nathan Donovan, a senior from Hazel Green, Wisconsin, attending Wahlert Catholic, has been named the United Soccer Coaches' Scholar National Player of the Year for NCAA Division III men's soccer in 2024. The announcement was made when the Scholar All-America teams were released on Wednesday.
Donovan's recognition marks a first for his program as he becomes the inaugural player to receive this prestigious award. A biology major with a 3.88 GPA, Donovan has also been honored with several other academic accolades this season. These include being named the Academic All-America Team Member of the Year by College Sports Communicators and receiving the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete award.
This year also marks Donovan's first time receiving the Scholar All-America honor from United Soccer Coaches.
