Several members of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team have been recognized in the 2024 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) honors. Isaac Garside, a senior from Bonduel, Wisconsin, was named to the All-WIAC first team offense as a wide receiver. Additionally, Brady Puls, a freshman from Lodi, Wisconsin, received the WIAC Kwik Trip Newcomer of the Year award.
Garside earned first-team all-conference honors for the first time. He became UW-Eau Claire's all-time leader in career receptions and receiving yards with 195 receptions for 2,386 yards. This season, he led the WIAC with 74 receptions and ranked second with 941 receiving yards. He also tied for third in touchdown receptions with eight.
Puls is the first player from UW-Eau Claire to receive the WIAC Kwik Trip Newcomer of the Year award. He led his team with 3.5 tackles for a loss and was sixth on the team with 34 total tackles. Puls played all ten games as a freshman and started every WIAC contest.
Other Blugolds received honorable mentions. Gunnar Hurlburt, a junior from Durand, Wisconsin, was noted on the offensive line for his contributions this season. Senior quarterback Harry Roubidoux from Winneconne, Wisconsin also earned honorable mention status on offense. Roubidoux concluded his career as UW-Eau Claire's leader in completions and pass attempts and ranks second in career touchdown passes and passing yards.
Defensively, Brady Hoffner from Mankato, Minnesota/Mankato East and Caden Tonsager from Eagan, Minnesota were acknowledged as honorable mentions. Hoffner had a team-high of 67 total tackles this season along with two sacks and an interception. Tonsager led his team's secondary with six pass break-ups and returned an interception for a touchdown.
Trey Fitzgerald from Mosinee, Wisconsin was selected to join the All-Sportsmanship Team after serving as captain for the Blugolds this season.
