Blugold sports teams prepare for a week of intense competitions

This week marks a busy schedule for the Blugolds as both Fall and Winter sports teams are actively competing. The women's volleyball team is set to face No. 23 ranked University of Northwestern in the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament on Thursday, November 21st, at Whitewater, Wisconsin.

The wrestling team will compete against UW-Whitewater on Wednesday, November 20th, in Whitewater before returning to Eau Claire for the 8-Man Battles on Saturday, November 23rd.

In soccer, the men's team will participate in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship game in Eau Claire on Saturday, November 23rd. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

The men's basketball team will host Bethel University at home on Saturday, November 23rd. The tip-off is at 3 p.m. Meanwhile, the women’s basketball team is set to play against College of Saint Benedicts on Wednesday, November 20th, at home in Eau Claire.

For cross country enthusiasts, the men’s team travels to Terre Haute, Indiana for the NCAA Championship on Saturday, November 23rd with their race commencing at noon Eastern time. Keeley Behr from the women's team will also compete there with her race starting earlier at 11 a.m. Eastern.

The men's hockey team has two games lined up; they travel to Superior, Wisconsin on Friday, November 22nd to face UW-Superior and then head to Menomonie for another match on Saturday. The women’s hockey squad plays against Saint Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota on Tuesday before facing UW-River Falls in River Falls on Saturday.
