The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team faced a challenging game against UW-Platteville, losing 56-14 at Pioneer Stadium. Despite the defeat, senior Harry Roubidoux from Winneconne, Wisconsin, set a new school record for career completions. Roubidoux completed 16 of 23 passes during the game, bringing his career total to 653 completions and surpassing the previous record of 645 set by John Clark between 1987 and 1990.

The Pioneers started strong, scoring the first three touchdowns and leading 21-0 early in the second quarter. The Blugolds responded with a two-yard touchdown run by sophomore Jacob Donohue from Grayslake, Illinois, reducing the deficit to 21-7. However, UW-Platteville extended their lead with five consecutive touchdown passes before and after halftime, making it 56-7.

Roubidoux connected with senior Isaac Garside from Bonduel, Wisconsin, for a four-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. This marked the final score of the game as neither team scored again. Roubidoux ended with 198 passing yards while junior Sam Schradle from Cumberland, Wisconsin led the rushing attack with 41 yards on nine carries. Garside recorded four catches for 50 yards and senior Nolan Stans from Spring Valley, Wisconsin added three receptions for another 50 yards.

Defensively, junior Brady Hoffner from Mankato, Minnesota contributed six tackles and forced a fumble. Senior JP Wolterstorff from Eau Claire also made six tackles. The Pioneers outgained the Blugolds in total yardage by a margin of 577 to 347.
