University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has announced the addition of Nick Emanuel to its baseball coaching staff. Head Baseball Coach Patrick Reilly confirmed Emanuel's appointment as an assistant coach.
"Nick is originally from Esko, Minnesota, and was all-state in Minnesota and a candidate for Mr. Baseball his senior year," Reilly stated. "He played collegiately at North Dakota State and professionally with the Great Falls Voyagers in the Pioneer League. Nick will work with our hitters and position players and help with our recruiting. We are thrilled to have him join our staff."
Emanuel transitions to UW-Eau Claire after three seasons as an assistant coach at UW-Superior, where he contributed as the Yellowjackets' catchers coach and assistant hitting coach. During his tenure, UW-Superior achieved 62 victories, culminating in a UMAC Tournament championship round appearance in 2024.
His professional playing career includes time with the Great Falls Voyagers in the independent Pioneer League from 2021-23. At North Dakota State University, Emanuel excelled at NCAA Division I level baseball, aiding the Bison's Summit League Tournament championship win in 2021 and securing their first NCAA regional berth since 2014. He captained that team and holds North Dakota State's record for career fielding percentage at .995.
In high school, Emanuel was notable for his performance at Esko High School in Esko, Minnesota, where he was a candidate for Minnesota's Mr. Baseball award as a senior in 2016 due to his .471 batting average with 16 extra-base hits and 26 RBI.
Emanuel graduated from North Dakota State with a degree in Management Communication and minors in Business Administration and Sociology.
