The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's soccer team achieved a new milestone with a decisive 13-0 victory over UW-Stevens Point. This win set a new program scoring record, surpassing their previous best of 11 goals in a single game against Finlandia in 2021.

Nine players from the Blugolds contributed to the scoreline. Nathan Donovan led the charge with a hat trick, marking his fifth of the season and bringing his career total to 92 goals. Donovan's three goals came within the first 20 minutes of play, contributing significantly to an early lead that saw UW-Eau Claire ahead by four goals at that point.

Carter Thiesfeld provided three assists during the match, while Tate McDermott and Tobias Volkmann each added two assists. By halftime, the Blugolds were leading comfortably at 7-0.

Additional contributions came from Porter Ball, Sam Lynch, and Drew Jeffers, who all scored from penalty kicks. The match also featured a Senior Night ceremony honoring several senior players including Jakob Leonard, Spencer Banks, Jacob Sampson, Cooper Roberts, Will Heinen, Will Miers, Mark Belknap, and Connor Capella.

Looking ahead, UW-Eau Claire aims to maintain their unbeaten streak in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) as they prepare for an upcoming match against UW-Whitewater on October 30.
