The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team faced a setback in their annual rivalry game against UW-Stout, with the Blue Devils securing a 42-24 victory at Williams Stadium. The loss brings the Blugolds' season record to 2-5 and their WIAC standing to 1-3.

Blugolds quarterback Harry Roubidoux had an impressive performance, completing 36 out of 54 pass attempts for a total of 398 yards and two touchdowns. This marked one of the most productive passing games in the program's history, with his completions ranking second only to Kyle Paulson's record set in 2009.

The Blugolds initially took the lead when Roubidoux connected with Yaach Chuol for a six-yard touchdown early in the first quarter. However, UW-Stout responded with three consecutive touchdowns across the first and second quarters, including a notable 90-yard pass that contributed to their halftime lead of 28-10.

Connor Radaj made a significant contribution with a 30-yard field goal before halftime, but UW-Stout extended their advantage with another touchdown just before the break. Despite falling behind by as much as 32 points early in the fourth quarter, UW-Eau Claire managed to reduce the deficit with late touchdowns from Sam Schradle and Franko Williams.

Isaac Garside led UW-Eau Claire's receiving efforts with ten catches for 168 yards, bringing him close to becoming the university's all-time leader in receptions. Other notable contributions came from Franko Williams and Yaach Chuol among others.

Defensively, Walker Korish was prominent for the Blugolds with eight tackles during the game.
