The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has recognized the outstanding performance of Kaitlyn Erickson from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Erickson was named the women's volleyball defensive athlete of the week for her contributions during the week of October 14 to October 20.
Erickson played a crucial role in anchoring her team's defense. In a match on October 16 against the No. 18-ranked University of Wisconsin-Platteville, she achieved 21 digs, leading to a narrow 3-2 victory. She further excelled on October 18 by recording a career-high of 31 digs in a decisive 3-0 win over Bethel University, surpassing her previous record of 25 digs.
