The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's cross country team secured a ninth-place finish at the Augustana Interregional Invitational held in Rock Island, Illinois. The competition on Saturday featured 35 teams, including five that are nationally ranked.
UW-Eau Claire accumulated 293 team points during the meet. Colorado College, ranked second nationally, won the event with a total of 56 points.
Keeley Behr led the Blugolds by finishing 20th overall with a time of 21:56.1, marking her best performance this season. Ryann Wagner followed as the second Blugold to finish, securing the 60th spot overall with a time of 22:43.1. Reagan Zimmerman came next for UW-Eau Claire in 67th place with a time of 22:47.9; both Wagner and Zimmerman achieved their season-best times.
Molly Heidorn completed her run in 71st place with a time of 22:51.5, also setting a new personal season low. Libby Beirne finished off UW-Eau Claire's scoring lineup with an overall placement of 83rd and a time of 22:58.0.
Looking ahead, the Blugolds will compete again on November 2 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships. Last year, they claimed second place at this meet and produced an individual champion.
