U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), who is running alongside former President Donald Trump on the Republican ticket for the upcoming presidential election, said their campaign will win Wisconsin because of the "people power" behind them. Vance made the remarks during a recent campaign stop in Eau Claire.
"That’s what’s so amazing about the people power that animates this campaign," Vance said in the opening of his speech. "We’re never going to have the mainstream media, we’re never going to have the Democrats, allies, and the press, but we have the truth and we have the people."
"And we are going to win Wisconsin because of that," said Vance. "Those are the two most powerful forces in American politics."
Vance spoke on several topics during his address to the crowd, including the impact of illegal immigration. He discussed the illegal alien recently arrested in Prairie du Chien on charges of domestic battery and physical abuse to a child, and supported Trump's plans of deportations.
The vice presidential candidate also encouraged Wisconsin residents to vote and to bring their friends and family to the polls as well. "The legal way you can vote ten times is to take yourself, nine friends and family, and get them to the polls," he said. "If we do that, we're going to win this state."
