The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team faced the Warhawks in Whitewater, Wisconsin, on Saturday. The match concluded with an 8-1 defeat for the Blugolds.
Anna Lee, a junior from Buffalo, Minnesota, secured the sole victory for the Blugolds with a tiebreaker win at #2 singles.
Beatriz Felchak, a freshman from Curitiba, Brazil, and Reese Burton, a freshman from Lakeville, Minnesota, initially led at #2 doubles but ultimately lost 8-6. Samantha Fuchs, a senior from DeForest, Wisconsin, also played a tiebreaker set but was defeated 10-7.
Next Friday, September 20th, the Blugolds will travel to St. Peter's, Minnesota for the Midwest ITA Regional Tournament which will continue until Saturday September 22nd.
