The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team played against Albion College in the North Central Invitational on Friday, resulting in a 1-1 draw. The event was hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
Elise Pinewski scored the first goal for UW-Eau Claire in the 13th minute, marking her first goal of the season. During her 45 minutes on the field, Pinewski also contributed two shots on goal. Eau Claire outshot Albion 10-2 during the match.
Johanna Thompson led the Blugold attack with three shots on goal. Kori Millis and Emma Donovan each added two shots on goal to support the offense.
Goalkeepers Kennedy Boll and Bella Jones each played one half of the game. Jones made one save, while Boll was credited with the draw, bringing her record to 2-2-1 for the year.
The Blugolds (2-2-1) will remain in Illinois for their next game at the North Central Invitational. They are scheduled to play against host team North Central College on Saturday, September 14th at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
