University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football coach Rob Erickson has announced the addition of Matt Perotti to his coaching staff as the Blugolds' Tight Ends coach for the 2024 season.
Before arriving at UW-Eau Claire, Perotti coached at Morehead State for the spring of 2024 after spending last season at Fairmont State as a linebackers coach. He contributed to the Fighting Falcons' best season in five years.
Prior to Fairmont, Perotti was the head coach of the Alderson Broaddus sprint football team. During the 2022 season, he led the Battlers to their first multi-win season and coached nine all-conference selections. He took over as head coach in 2021 and served in various roles, including defensive coordinator, linebackers coach, defensive backs coach, and recruiting coordinator since the program's inception. In 2019, Perotti mentored three players on defense who received CSFL honors: Sam Solomon and Hosea Addison were named to the All-CSFL Second Team, while Ty'Sean Tyler received All-CSFL Honorable Mention.
Before his tenure at Alderson Broaddus, Perotti coached at Torrington High School in Torrington, Conn., serving as an offensive coordinator and running backs/tight ends coach. Under his guidance, the team's record improved from 3-7 to 7-3 in 2018.
Perotti played football at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, N.H., where he began his coaching career as an offensive line and special teams coach for two seasons. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Franklin Pierce and graduated Cum Laude.
