The Hudson School District is seeking proposals for a new K-5 ELA curricular resource. The district, which serves approximately 2,000 K-5 students across six elementary schools, has outlined a detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) process for vendors interested in providing their materials.

According to the district's announcement, the RFP process consists of three phases. Vendors are required to submit sample materials for each grade from kindergarten to fifth grade, along with a written summary of their product's alignment with specified criteria by April 22, 2024. Phase 2 involves a preliminary review of materials to determine finalists, with selected vendors moving on to present their offerings in a 45-minute presentation session during Phase 3.

The timeline for the RFP indicates that the district aims to make a decision before the end of June 2024, with plans for implementation in the 2024-2025 school year. Vendors are expected to demonstrate how their products meet the district's outlined needs, which encompass various criteria related to learning, professional supports, assessment, inclusion, and content specificity.

Lisa Skoyen, Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning for the Hudson School District, is the designated contact person for inquiries regarding the RFP. Interested parties can reach out to Skoyen via email at skoyenla@hudsonraiders.org or by phone at 715-377-3705.

The district's mission statement emphasizes a commitment to developing caring and contributing community members through a rigorous, student-centered environment that ensures equitable experiences for all students. Vendors participating in the RFP process are expected to align their materials with the district's educational Vision, Values, and Mission, as well as the objectives of the curricular offering for which the resources will be used.

The criteria for selecting the ELA curricular resource include considerations such as standards alignment, developmental appropriateness, research-based content, instructional strategies, social-emotional learning, professional learning support, assessment quality, accessibility, differentiation, diverse perspectives, and content specifics related to writing and science-based early literacy.

With the RFP process underway, the Hudson School District is actively seeking proposals from vendors who can provide a comprehensive ELA curriculum that meets the diverse needs of their K-5 student population. Interested parties are encouraged to review the full Request for Proposals document for detailed submission requirements and guidelines.
