The majority of students in Eau Claire County districts were white in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of the 14,237 students attending Eau Claire County district schools, 77.1% were white. Asian students were the second largest ethnic group among Eau Claire County's districts, making up 8% of the student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Eau Claire County districts, representing 77.8% of the student body.

Altoona School District and Eau Claire Area School District had the most diverse student body in the county, which included American Indian, Asian, African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, multiracial, and white.

In the 2022-23 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county dropped to 0.3% compared to the previous year.
