City of Altoona announces public land available for migratory bird hunting

City Of Altoona recently issued the following announcement.

On Thursday, August 26, 2021, the Altoona City Council approved a policy which will permit hunters to hunt 80 acres of City-owned land located in the Town of Washington, Wisconsin during the 2021 migratory bird hunting season.  Hunters are required to obtain a permit from the City.  To apply, a hunter will need to fill out an application, supply a copy of their driver’s license and hunting license, and pay a $25 non-refundable processing fee.  For more information about this program and to get an application, please contact Altoona City Hall at 715-839-6092 or cityhall@ci.altoona.wi.us.
