City of Altoona recently issued the following announcement.
Event Name: Public Session | Proposed Amendment of Official City Map

The City of Altoona is working to update its Official Map to plan for future infrastructure in the Highway 12 corridor and future South Neighborhood, within the City's 1.5-mile extraterritorial jurisdiction. The purpose of the Official Map is to provide for predictable, contiguous, and efficient planning of future infrastructure. The Plan Commission will consider a recommendation on the proposed amendment on July 14th at 5:30pm. The Public Hearing is scheduled for the City Council on July 23rd at 6:00 p.m.
