UW-Eau Claire women’s golf places fourth at Midwest Region Classic

UW-Eau Claire’s women’s golf team finished fourth at the Midwest Region Classic, held at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wisconsin. The event took place on Friday and featured 20 teams competing on a par-72, 5,637-yard course.

Tally Schlindwein led the Blugolds by tying for 11th place with a first-round score of 77 (+5). Elizabeth Hermann also played an important role, tying for 19th with a score of 79 (+7). Their performances contributed to the team’s overall score of 320 (+32).

The Blugolds finished just one stroke ahead of Carthage College and were close behind the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, which posted a score of 316 (+28) to secure third place.

Looking ahead, UW-Eau Claire will have a weekend off before preparing for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. The three-day event is scheduled to begin Friday, October 3 at Reedsburg Country Club with tee times starting at 11 a.m.
