The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has named Owen Williams of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's soccer team as the Kwik Trip Offensive Player of the Week for September 8-14. The selection was made by an anonymous vote among WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.
Williams contributed to UW-Eau Claire's performance in two non-conference matches, facing No. 7-ranked Augsburg University and Elmhurst University. He scored the game-winning goal against Elmhurst on September 13, securing a home victory for the Blugolds.
With this win, UW-Eau Claire improved its record at Simpson Field to 13-1-1 over its last 15 home games.
