The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has recognized Liv Herzog from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team as the Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week for September 1-7. The selection was made by a vote among WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.
Herzog contributed to UW-Eau Claire’s successful start in conference play, securing two victories at No. 1 singles. She recorded a 6-3, 6-3 win against Sydney Wiener of UW-River Falls, which contributed to a 7-0 team victory. In her next match, Herzog defeated Molly Gaber of UW-Stout with a score of 6-0, 6-0, helping the Blugolds begin their dual season with a 2-0 record.
"Herzog helped UW-Eau Claire open WIAC play with two wins at No. 1 singles. She solidified the 7-0 victory over UW-River Falls with a 6-3, 6-3 win over UW-River Falls' Sydney Wiener. Herzog then went on to win 6-0, 6-0 vs UW-Stout's Molly Gaber to help the Blugolds start their dual season 2-0."
