Senator Julian Bradley, a Republican representing Wisconsin's 28th Senate district since 2021, has used his social media platform to raise concerns about city spending and police contracts in Milwaukee.

On August 8, 2025, Bradley highlighted the ongoing contract issues for Milwaukee Police Department officers. He stated, "It's been 950 days since the MPD has been working without a contract. In that time, the state enabled the city of Milwaukee to collect more than $287 million in new sales taxes and over $47 million in shared revenue. That money is meant for police, fire, and pensions."

In a follow-up post on the same day, Bradley questioned recent financial decisions by city officials. He wrote, "Not enough? Okay, then why did city officials hike their own salaries by $2.8 million & spend $5.5 million/year on a streetcar no one rides? City leaders found money for an 'Art Car' that lasted a month, but can’t get police a new contract?"

The next day, Bradley shifted focus to community events at the Wisconsin State Fair. On August 9, he encouraged attendance and attention to agricultural exhibits: "There’s nothing like a sunny summer day at the @wistatefair! Enjoy the rides, shows, food, & shopping – but pay special attention to the Ag exhibits. They showcase WI’s unique farming heritage."

Bradley succeeded Dave Craig as state senator in 2021 after being elected to represent Wisconsin's 28th Senate district.
