Adam Strouf, a senior from Rice Lake | UW-Eau Claire Blugolds
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's men's and women's track and field teams have been recognized for their academic achievements by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for 2025. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
Adam Strouf, a senior from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, was honored as the Division III men's indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year. This recognition follows his recent designation as a first-team Academic All-American.
Both the men's and women's teams at UW-Eau Claire were named All-Academic teams by the USTFCCCA. The women's team achieved a grade-point average of 3.59, while the men's team recorded a GPA of 3.15. Teams must maintain a collective GPA of 3.10 or higher to qualify for this award.
In addition to team honors, 35 individual Blugolds were named All-Academic Athletes. To receive this distinction, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 GPA and meet specific performance criteria in their events or competitions.
The Blugold men who earned this honor include Daylan Berger, Johnny Botsch, Will Broome, Izaak Clendenning, Yakob Ekoue, Max Foland, Connor Jankuski, Wes Keller, Carl Lundgren, Tommy Mestnik, Blake Postler, Jackson Schulz, Mason Shea, Mitch Stegeman, Adam Strouf and Sam Verkerke.
For the Blugold women: Kayla Behnke, Keeley Behr, Laura Bertrang, Haley Blagdon, Emilee Booker, Mya Cinnamo, Sophia Crespo Michaela Dick Lauren Dimler Kylee Grabarski Emma Gruen Lauren Jex Teagan Jones Allyson Kakes Brooklyn Lamers Lauryn Rustad Hope Schueller Anna Thaler Ella Williamson received recognition.
