The University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire Athletics has announced a partnership with FanWord, a company known for its storytelling and technology solutions in college sports. This collaboration will see UW–Eau Claire Athletics using FanWord's content creation platform, FanWord Assist, to enhance its storytelling across all teams, athletes, and staff.
This initiative positions the Blugolds as pioneers in adopting innovative storytelling technology within NCAA Division III programs in the region. The partnership also introduces "The Gold Standard," a new storytelling hub featuring articles about student-athletes, coaches, staff, and alumni.
FanWord Assist is designed to help sports communication teams produce high-quality written content efficiently. The platform supports various formats such as game recaps, student-athlete features, alumni spotlights, and season previews. It aims to elevate the reach and consistency of UW–Eau Claire's internal and external communications.
"We're thrilled to team up with FanWord," said Jason Verdugo, UW-Eau Claire Athletic Director. "This partnership allows us to deliver outstanding coverage of Blugold athletics while highlighting the unique stories of our student-athletes and alumni."
FanWord collaborates with over 100 athletic departments nationwide across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III. Including UW–Eau Claire in its network underscores FanWord's mission to empower programs at all levels to share their athletic communities' stories effectively.
"FanWord is an innovative platform that streamlines storytelling in a way Blugolds will truly appreciate," commented Nick Hoven, Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and Sports Information at UW-Eau Claire Athletics.
Chris Aumueller, CEO of FanWord stated: "UW–Eau Claire's leadership in embracing new tools like FanWord Assist speaks volumes about their commitment to highlighting the journeys of their student-athletes and staff."
By implementing FanWord Assist, UW–Eau Claire aims not only to streamline operations but also create opportunities for promoting athlete narratives that resonate with recruits, alumni, and fans. In today's digital landscape, meaningful storytelling helps foster connection and pride—an endeavor the Blugolds are advancing through this new partnership.
