The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's men's and women's track and field teams have been recognized with 36 all-region honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025 outdoor season. The awards were announced on Wednesday.
The women's team secured 20 all-region honors in the North Region, while the men's team received 16. Among the women, eight honors were achieved in relay events. Athletes Hope Schueller, Allyson Kakes, Kylee Grabarski, and Sophia Crespo earned recognition in the 4x100-meter relay. Mya Cinnamo, McKenzie Kruse, Lauren Jex, and Grabarski were honored in the 4x400-meter relay.
In individual track events, Allyson Kakes was recognized for her performances in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Kylee Grabarski earned a nod in the 400 meters. Michaela Dick and Lauren Dimler were acknowledged in the 400-meter hurdles. Emilee Booker received honors in both the 100-meter hurdles and heptathlon, while Emma Gruen was recognized in heptathlon and high jump.
For field events, Kayla Behnke was all-region in discus, Teagan Jones earned distinction in hammer throw, and Laura Bertrang was honored for javelin.
On the men's side, nine all-region honors came from field events. Yakob Ekoue led with three honors: shot put, discus, and hammer throw. Soren Johnson was also recognized in discus; Adam Strouf and Gage Stankiewicz were honored for shot put; Johnny Botsch was acknowledged for pole vault; Wes Keller for high jump; Tommy Mestnik for javelin; and Mitch Stegeman for decathlon.
In track events for men, Stefan Klechefski was honored in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Blake Postler received two selections for his performances in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. Mason Shea was recognized for steeplechase, while Sam Verkerke earned an honor in the 1,500-meter run.
The Blugolds will conclude their season at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships scheduled from May 22 to May 24 in Geneva, Ohio.
