The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has recognized University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Yakob Ekoue as the men's field athlete of the week. This announcement was made following an anonymous vote by WIAC head coaches for the week of April 21-27.

Ekoue, a senior from Hopkins, Minnesota, achieved a notable performance as the top collegiate athlete in the elite discus event at the Drake Relays held on April 25. His throw, measuring 197-8 (60.25m), is currently the best in the NCAA Division III for this season. He was surpassed only by Mitch Weber, who participated in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials.
