LE SUEUR, Minn. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team demonstrated strong performance during the opening day of the Bobby Krig Invite at Le Sueur Country Club. Corey Boerner, a senior from Bloomington, Minnesota, is currently leading the tournament.
The tournament's first day included two rounds. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, ranked 19th, has two teams competing in the event. Their top team currently stands in second place, with a score of 22 over par. The host, Gustavus Adolphus, leads at 18 over par.
Corey Boerner shot 2 over par in the first round and improved to 1 under par in the second round. He is leading by one shot on the individual leaderboard.
Nick Amtmann from Nashotah, Wisconsin, and Ben Pausha from Delafield, Wisconsin are tied for fifth place with scores of 4 over par. Fred Moede from Savage, Minnesota is tied for ninth place at 6 over par.
Spencer Lynch from Neenah, Wisconsin, and Ryan Jamieson from St. Paul, Minnesota are also in the top 50. Lynch is tied for 41st, while Jamieson is tied for 44th.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday, April 19, at New Prague Golf Club in New Prague, Minnesota, with tee times starting at 8 a.m.
