The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball player, Carter Huschka, has been recognized as a third team All-American by D3hoops.com for the 2024-25 season. The announcement was made on Saturday.
Huschka is the first player from the Blugolds men's basketball team to receive All-America honors since Sherm Carstensen in 2001, who was a first team selection by D3hoops.com. This recognition marks the 35th All-America honor in the program's history.
As a forward, Huschka led his team with an average of 19.0 points per game this season and was second in rebounds with an average of 8.1 per game. In the WIAC, he ranked second in scoring average and third in both rebounding and blocks per game at 1.2. Additionally, Huschka was named WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week twice this season and appeared once on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. He recorded seven double-doubles during the season and averaged 20.5 points and 8.6 rebounds in eight games against Top 25 opponents.
