Simpson Field | UW-Eau Claire Blugolds
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team concluded its spring break trip in Orlando, Florida, with a match against Hamilton College. The Blugolds faced off against the No. 34 ranked team and were defeated as Hamilton swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches.
In the doubles competition, the most competitive match was at No. 1 doubles where Juan Gallego and Ethan Wurtzel lost narrowly with a score of 7-5. All singles matches were decided in straight sets.
During their time in Orlando, the Blugolds finished with one win and four losses. They competed against five teams, three of which have been featured in the ITA national rankings this season.
Looking ahead, the Blugolds will begin play in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) on April 5th with a dual against UW-Stevens Point in Eau Claire at 1 p.m.
