Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis splits matches during Orlando trip

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team concluded its spring break trip in Orlando with mixed results. On Wednesday, the Blugolds faced two opponents, suffering a defeat to St. Lawrence before securing a victory against Warner (Fla.).

Against St. Lawrence, which remains unbeaten, the Blugolds lost 5-2. Samantha Fuchs and Anna Lee managed to secure a win in the No. 1 doubles match with a score of 6-2. In singles, Beatriz Felchak triumphed in the No. 5 match after a third-set tiebreak, while Aubrey Wittwer won at No. 6 singles.

The Blugolds bounced back against Warner (Fla.), winning 5-2 with three wins by forfeit. Felchak and Wittwer continued their strong performance by winning at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively.

In doubles play against Warner, Morgan Dekan teamed up with Felchak to win the No. 1 doubles match 6-4, while Fuchs and Lee dominated the No. 2 match with a score of 6-0.

Looking ahead, the Blugolds are scheduled to compete again on Saturday, April 5 when they visit Wheaton College.
