The classic comedy "Noises Off" offers audiences a humorous glimpse into the chaos of an acting troupe rehearsing and performing the farce "Nothing On." Despite various challenges such as nerves, forgotten lines, and technical issues, the cast manages to complete their rehearsal and open the show. However, as time progresses, the situation deteriorates into pandemonium with axe-wielding co-stars, inebriated cast members, and misplaced props like sardines taking over during a disastrous performance.
The New York Times describes it as “the most dexterously realized comedy ever about putting on a comedy. A spectacularly funny, peerless backstage farce. This dizzy, well-known romp is festival of delirium.”
The play is recommended for those aged 10 and above due to its content. The runtime is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes with three acts separated by intermissions.
