University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball player Carter Huschka has been recognized with two regional honors for the 2024-25 season. On Tuesday, Huschka was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 9 first team and received a second-team nod from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 9.

Huschka's achievements mark a significant milestone for the Blugold men's basketball program. He is the first player since Dan Beyer in 2008 to earn either first-team all-region or all-district recognition. Previously, Huschka was a third-team all-region selection by D3hoops.com last season, while this is his inaugural all-district honor from NABC.

As a forward, Huschka led his team in scoring with an average of 19 points per game during the season. His performance also included being second on the team with an average of 8.1 rebounds per game. In the WIAC standings, he ranked second in scoring average and third in both rebounding and blocks per game, with an average of 1.2 blocks.

Additionally, Huschka was recognized twice as WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week this season and made it onto the D3hoops.com Team of the Week once. He recorded seven double-doubles throughout the season and maintained averages of 20.5 points and 8.6 rebounds across eight games against Top 25 opponents.

Blugolds fans can stay updated throughout the season via Blugolds.com or through their app, Blugold Sports, as well as on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
