University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire sends athletes to NCAA indoor championships

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's men's and women's track and field teams are set to participate in the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships. The NCAA announced the national qualifiers on Sunday, confirming that 16 Blugold student-athletes will compete.

The women's team will send nine competitors to the event at Golisano Training Center in Rochester, New York, from March 14-15. Meanwhile, the men's team will have seven representatives at the meet.

For the men, Johnny Botsch is set for the pole vault, Max Foland for the heptathlon, Soren Johnson and Adam Strouf for shot put, Wes Keller for high jump, Stefan Klechefski for the 60-meter dash, and Mason Shea for the 3,000-meter run.

On the women's side, Kayla Behnke will compete in weight throw; Laura Bertrang in high jump; Emilee Booker and Emma Gruen in pentathlon; Mya Cinnamo, Kylee Grabarski, Allyson Kakes, and McKenzie Kruse in the 4x400-meter relay; and Teagan Jones in weight throw.

The national championships commence on March 14 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. Updates on the Blugolds can be followed throughout the season via Blugolds.com or their app Blugold Sports as well as on social media platforms Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
