Blugolds achieve multiple wins at Last Chance Meet

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's men's and women's track and field teams participated in the Last Chance Meet hosted by UW-La Crosse on Saturday. The Blugolds achieved victories in several events, marking a successful conclusion to their regular season.

In the men's events, Mason Shea won the mile run with a time of 4:08.42. Stefan Klechefski secured first place in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 6.73 seconds. Adam Strouf excelled in the shot put with a throw of 18.15 meters.

On the women's side, the team consisting of Kylee Grabarski, McKenzie Kruse, Allyson Kakes, and Mya Cinnamo claimed victory in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:51.71. Kayla Behnke also emerged victorious in the shot put event with a distance of 19.21 meters.

The NCAA Division III Championships are scheduled to begin on March 14 and conclude on March 15. Qualifiers for these championships will be announced on Sunday, March 9.
