Two UW-Eau Claire players earn honorable mentions on All-WIAC team

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's basketball team saw two of its players receive honorable mentions on the 2024-25 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) team. The announcement, made on Wednesday, recognized Lauren Meudt and Kyla Overskei for their performances.

Lauren Meudt, a junior guard from Waunakee, Wisconsin, ranked third on her team with an average of 9.2 points per game this season. Her contributions also included 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.9 steals per contest. Notably, she was fifth in the WIAC for steals per game, which earned her a spot on the WIAC All-Defensive Team alongside her honorable mention all-conference status.

Kyla Overskei, another junior guard hailing from Maple Grove, Minnesota, led the Blugolds in scoring and rebounding with averages of 14.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game respectively. She also contributed an average of 1.9 assists per contest and ranked sixth in scoring and fifth in rebounding within the WIAC this season.

Additionally, Anna Koth from Maple Grove represented the Blugolds on the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. The senior played in all 25 games for the team and started in 16 matches.
