The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team was defeated by the fourth-ranked UW-La Crosse in the semifinals of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Tournament. The game, which took place at Mitchell Hall, ended with a score of 69-55 in favor of UW-La Crosse.

In the early part of the second half, UW-Eau Claire managed to level the score with their opponents. However, a significant 24-4 run by UW-La Crosse over nearly 11 minutes turned a tied game into a substantial lead for the Eagles. During this stretch, UW-Eau Claire struggled offensively and went scoreless for seven and a half minutes.

Carter Huschka led UW-Eau Claire with 19 points and 10 rebounds, marking his seventh double-double of the season. Michael Casper and Carter Lichtsinn each contributed 11 points and five rebounds. The Blugolds shot 38% from the field and only 20% from beyond the arc, while their opponents shot 41% overall.

The Blugolds now await the NCAA Tournament selection announcement on March 3 to determine if their season will continue.
